Hi Everypawdy,
We would like to introduce ourselves, we are Lexi & Beau (Border Collie & GSD), and one of our special friends over on our Facebook page asked us to start a supa blog on here. We would love to share our view of the world and some stories to makes people smile. :)
So who are Lexi & Beau, and why do we have a facebook page....
Lexi :
I is a 4 year old, small, Border Collie, an yes me has a few interesting pawsonality traits... I diagnosed OCD, which make ma hoomins life fun sometimes, and I have a few allergies that we has to deal with. Apart from that I love a tennis ball and running as fast as I can! My hoomins 'rescued' me an my litter from being given away to goodness knows who on a free advertising site. See ma hoomins is involved in Animal Rescue, but more of that later. I am of course the smart one, being a Collie ;)
Beau:
I am Beau, a 7 year old German Shepherd. I moved in with Lexi an our hoomins in February 2013, yep this year. My paws are well and truly under the table, and I have now made the transition from Police Dog to Pet Dog... its been a tough road sometimes, I was used to a fixed routine an then suddenly I can do my own thing... aarrggghhh! but one step at a time an now a pet I am... a very well trained pet, but still a pet - the hoomins is in charge and on point I just enjoy life!! How did I come to be here with Lexi, well the hoomins work in Animal Charity/Rescue and was asked by ma handler to helps find me a new forever retirement home... an next thing you know I lives here - I really am that irresistible! ;)
So why do we have a Facebook page? Well as we mentioned the reason we are with or hoomins is their involvement with a local animal charity Animal Connexions, and various other animal welfare organisations. You will see from the Facebook page name that there was a dog called Leo, he was Lexi's little terrier brother - another rescue, but not any rescue Leo was very special, he had a temperament that was unmatched, he had a zest for life that was infectious and understood hoomins large and small, and dogs of all sizes and shapes - due to his temperament he became Mascot for Animal Connexions and represented them at events, and also made visits to young peoples groups to help educate on animal welfare - he loved it all! To help Leo spread his message and help animal welfare he and Lexi set up the fun Facebook page. Lexi lost Leo at the start of the year, and it was such a sad time but Leo had touched so many hearts an helped so many in his short two years that in his memory his page and his work continues through us two. Lexi is in charge of the page, and Beau has stepped into do the Mascot and 'live' duties out and about for Animal Connexions. :-)
So now we are here, we would like to share our stories, and comments on life... please follow us and we would love to see your comments and suggestions on future posts.
