It that time of year again, time for da fireworks to start them pop-pop-bang-flash-bangity-bang-bang. Now some furkids don’t get bothered by fireworks, but most don't like them an some are absolutely terrified of them. Remember that we do not see these as fun like you, we aren't standing waiting for the lovely bright colours, we does all of a sudden here a huge scary bang!  

Dogs can hear sound up to 4 times farther than you hoomins, so we hears the fireworks from all over the place, an it gets very annoying! The bang-bang go on for hours, an each one makes us jump.. how would you feel if me stand behind you an at random time just barks at the top of ma voice? it get annoying wouldn’t it?!  

As Pet owners you has to help us out this time of the year, first things first - think about us, don’t be getting the fireworks to have in our own back garden! Try to keep us away from the local bonfire an fireworks displays. At home please let us have our space, and our special safe 'den' place. Don’t get anxious for us, coz we will sense that too and that make us more worried than we already were. At nights close da blinds an curtains, an doors to keeps out as much noise as possible, an it means we no be seeing the flashes, our eyesight is way better than yours too! ;-) 

If you has a puddy-tat try an keeps them in the house too, they gets scared of the boom-bang-flash fireworks too. Some furkids will happily watch an listen to the fireworks, these are the lucky ones, just remember the rest of us this Halloween... We loves you to has fun, with the Jack-o-lanterns, an you fancy dress an pawties, but just leave the fireworks to the professionals who keeps them away from the built-up areas where many of us pets live; them also know what they is doing and it be much safer for you as well :o)
